The Sacred Site focal point the Washington Rock Virtue Omniangels is the Washington Rock State Park, which is located on top of the first Watchung Mountain in Green Brook Township, in New Jersey, U.S.A. Encompassing fifty-two acres, the scenic outlook on Washington Rock State Park provides a thirty mile panorama of the area from the eastern plains of New Jersey all the way to Staten Island. When the Continental Army was encamped at Middlebrook in 1777, General George Washington used the vantage point to observe the movements of British troops. Purchased in 1913 for the purpose of creating a state park, the mostly wooded landscape is managed by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Washington Rock Park has a picnic area and walking trails.
